Sumit holds a Ph.D. in Material Science from the National University of Singapore (NUS),
Faculty of Sciences, and brings over 5 years of teaching experience. He is a passionate
and enthusiastic educator who loves helping students understand complex concepts in
science. With strong expertise in Physics and Mathematics, Sumit tailors his approach
to each student’s needs, building core skills and knowledge that help them overcome
challenges. He believes teaching is a noble profession and finds great joy in watching
his students grow and succeed.
Sumit specializes in Physics and Mathematics, subjects in which he was awarded
scholarships during his studies in India and Singapore. He has mentored over 500
students across various curricula, including IB, IGCSE, AP, AT, CBSE, and A-Levels,
helping them achieve their academic goals. He has also guided many students in
preparing for international competitive exams such as MCAT, GRE, TOEFL, SAT, and SAT
Sciences. Having taught at different tuition centres and institutes, Sumit has worked
with students from diverse backgrounds, making him highly adaptable and comfortable
teaching learners from various regions, both online and in person.
Sumit’s teaching focuses on the learning process, where he emphasizes developing
thinking skills and aligning lessons with students’ interests. He designs exam-focused
strategies and lesson plans while encouraging creativity and open expression of ideas.
By stimulating curiosity and problem-solving, he aims to nurture scientific inquiry and
help students connect their learning with the real world.
