Prabha has over 16 years of teaching experience in Chemistry across multiple curricula.
She holds a postgraduate degree in Chemistry along with a professional teaching
qualification. She has taught CBSE, ICSE and ISC, followed by extensive experience
teaching IBDP HL Chemistry and IGCSE Chemistry. Her background also includes
leadership roles such as Science HoD, IGCSE Coordinator and IBDP Coordinator,
allowing her to balance academic and administrative responsibilities effectively.
Prabha has extensive classroom experience in IB and IGCSE Chemistry. She has a
strong understanding of the IBDP Chemistry curriculum. She appreciates how the
programme builds Knowledge, Understanding, Application and higher order skills like
critical thinking, logical reasoning, evaluation and interpretation. She focuses on clear
instruction, attention to detail, and adapting to students’ varied learning abilities. She
encourages active student–teacher interaction. Prabha has also worked as an IB
Examiner for sixteen years, marking Extended Essays and HL Paper 2. She marked IAs
most recently. Her experience with criteria–based assessment helps her guide students
effectively in understanding expectations.
Prabha aims to help students develop confidence, consistency and genuine interest in
Chemistry. She focuses on motivating students to reach their potential. She uses her
experience as a teacher and examiner to support students in understanding
assessment criteria and improving their overall performance.
