With a degree in Electrical Engineering, my journey took an exciting turn when I discovered my true passion for shaping young minds. This led me to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Education for Mathematics and Science, transforming my career path towards teaching—a decision I have cherished for over 16 years. My engineering background, with its strong foundation in mathematics, brings a unique and analytical perspective to my teaching approach. This enables me to inspire and engage students through innovative problem-solving techniques and logical reasoning.
In my educator career, I have played the roles of MYP & DP Mathematics Facilitator, PP Supervisor, EE Supervisor, CAS Supervisor, GCSE Coordinator and Exam Officer for IGCSE. My training includes a range of workshops and professional development courses. I completed the MYP Category 3 Workshop on Managing Assessments and the IB Category 2 Workshop on Application and Interpretation. I also participated in the IBDP IA Exploration Workshop and the MYP Category 2 Workshop on Mathematics. Additionally, I attended the IB Category 1 Workshop on Application and Interpretation and completed the Extended Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics course.
I am proficient in using various educational technologies, such as interactive whiteboards, mathematical software (GeoGebra, Desmos), and well versed with both IB Math AA and AI at HL and SL.
I focus on developing lifelong learners with a strong foundation in mathematical thinking and encourage a growth mindset to build resilience and a positive attitude toward challenges. By utilising assessment data, I identify strengths and areas for improvement, tailoring interventions to support student success.
