ACT Math
Description
The American College Testing is the leading U.S. university admissions test, assessing what students learn in high school to determine academic readiness for university. The questions are designed to test your ability to solve practical problems with your mathematical skills. With a choice of 5 options, these math questions are all MCQ-based, and contain 60 questions that must be solved in 60 minutes. The material that it covers emphasizes the major content areas that are requirements for successful performance in entry-level courses in college mathematics. Basic formulas and computational skills are the basic skill sets that you must be acquainted with, but complex formulas and extensive computation are not essential for the ACT.
For the ACT Math test, you are allowed to use a calculator to ease out hefty calculations that cannot be done manually alone, and the ACT website contains details about the acceptable models and features that are allowed during the test. For using a calculator, you must seek approval in advance by the ACT.
