About
Shruti is an enthusiastic learner and educator whose tutoring practice draws on her diverse experience across early childhood education, curriculum development, and policy and legal analysis. She graduated with honors from Wellesley College in 2021, where she earned a B.A. in Environmental Studies and Psychology. A former Young Scholarz student and trained under world-renowned, English specialist, Sunita Sharma, Shruti is excited about supporting students who are in the same position she once was in achieving their goals and reaching their full potential both within and outside the scholastic domain.
Expertise
Shruti has a strong foundation in English, earning two A* grades in IGCSE English and a 6 in IB English (Standard Level). Her passion for the subject lies in how literature fosters meaningful dialogues across time, offering fresh perspectives on the world. With research experience in early childhood development and training in emergent curriculum, Shruti tailors learning support to each student’s unique strengths. She has completed coursework in Developmental Psychology, a teaching practice at Wellesley College, and holds certification in Early Education & Care from Massachusetts. Her background in environmental security and regulatory compliance allows her to guide students interested in public policy and law.
Objective
Shruti aims to create an enriching and supportive learning environment in which students master foundational skills for the IGCSE. Through building core practices in the humanities and social sciences—close reading, careful argumentation, exposition, and critical analysis—Shruti strives to equip students with the tools for academic success. Importantly, by engaging more deeply with subject matter in literature and psychology, Shruti hopes to instill a joy of learning and encourage students’ curiosities and desire to expand their understanding of themselves and the world around them.
